Practical help for independent groceries and restaurants.

I help owners set up the everyday systems behind a small food business, including the register, delivery apps, catering orders, inventory, and Wi-Fi. My advice comes from working in family businesses and managing technology professionally.

Where this comes from

Oh My Curry

ohmycurry.com

Oh My Curry is an Indian restaurant and catering concept in the Dallas area, serving a tight menu of biryani, curry entrées, snacks, and lassi through dine-in, Uber Eats, DoorDash, Grubhub, and its own catering bookings.

Working alongside a concept like this is where the advice on this page comes from: a small menu priced to survive delivery commissions, a register configured so every modifier rings up correctly, catering handled with forms and lead times instead of scattered phone calls, and technology chosen to fit the budget and the staff.

Client financial information stays private. Recommendations are based on each business, not a standard template.

The grocery side

East West General Store

Garland, Texas · Family-run grocery · 2011 to 2013

East West General Store was my family's independent grocery on Duck Creek Drive in Garland. It served the area's South Asian community with specialty groceries, produce, and everyday staples. The store has since closed.

I ran the store's technology end to end: the PCAmerica point-of-sale system, item and pricing setup, label printing, vendor ordering, and the day-to-day fixes that keep a register line moving. A small grocery lives or dies on margins most software vendors do not always account for. I learned that firsthand while working behind the counter.

That experience, along with a decade in enterprise IT, shapes how I work with independent stores and restaurants today.

Areas where I can help

Concept & Menu Structure

Shape a focused menu around a handful of dishes you can execute consistently, price for real food cost, and package it for dine-in, takeout, and catering.

Point of Sale & Payments

Choose and configure a POS that fits a small operation, set up modifiers and combos properly, and get clean daily sales reporting instead of guesswork.

Delivery Platforms & Online Ordering

Set up and tune Uber Eats, DoorDash, and Grubhub listings, keep menus and pricing in sync, and add direct online ordering so you keep more of each sale.

Catering & Large Orders

Build a catering offer with order forms, deposits, lead times, and packing lists so big orders run on a checklist rather than on adrenaline.

Small Grocery Operations

Inventory counts, vendor and cash-and-carry ordering, shelf pricing, label printing, and simple loss controls for independent grocery and market concepts.

Back-Office Technology

Set up business email, shared drives, scheduling, security cameras, separate guest Wi-Fi, and backups. Staff receive clear documentation.
